Tayla Phillips
Congratulations to our 2011-2012 Student of theYear- Tayla Phillips! Tayla, an eighth-grade student, has shown leadership throughout Gretna Middle for the past three years that she has attended. She is currently one of our morning announcement journalists- she delivers the morning news every day to the entire student body. She is a member of the GMS Choir, Library Club, Student Council and is a Peer Mediator. She is also a GMS cheerleader and is on the girls basketball team. Currently, she is on the committee that will put together our school's Black History Program, which will teach students about Black History leaders. Congratulations go out again to Tayla on all her successes and we are proud to have her represent our school as the Gretna Middle School Student of the Year!
